What Is Call

Access to the HPC PERUN system’s computing resources is organized through regular open calls, announced at intervals of no more than six months. These calls enable users to obtain allocated computing capacity based on the specific needs of their projects, ensuring efficient and fair utilization of the infrastructure.

The Process is Simple:

  • Registration: Applicants who are not yet users of the system must first register at the portal portal.hpc.tuke.sk.
  • Application Submission: After logging in, the applicant completes the online form for the current call, providing basic project information and selecting the desired computing performance level from the available categories.
  • Evaluation and Allocation: Based on the justification of the request and available system capacity, computing time is subsequently allocated, and the user gains access to the HPC PERUN computing environment.

Applications for computing time may be submitted by:

  • Researchers and academic staff from Slovak universities and research institutions,
  • University students,
  • Employees of ministries and state organizations of the Slovak Republic,
  • Entities from the commercial sector, such as industrial research teams or technology companies, are also eligible to use the computing resources.

For educational, research, and public-sector institutions, the use of computing time is free of charge. For commercial use, the terms and pricing are determined individually, depending on the scope and nature of the requested computation.
